Prosthetic Dentistry
It provides the elimination of the loss of teeth and surrounding tissues.
These losses cause chewing, aesthetic and speech disorders.
Chewing Disorder; It causes joint-muscle-stomach problems and accompanying diseases related to digestion.
Aesthetic Problems; It should be a priority to gain the natural appearance that the person has lost.
Although aesthetic losses are a situation that disrupts the dentist of the person, they lead to consequences that negatively affect their social life.
Speech Disorder; There may be stiffness in speech as a result of the slumping of the tongue and accompanying psychological trauma.
It can be corrected by the dentist with the compensation of the tooth loss and speech therapies.
A long treatment process is required for these major loss of functions, which are related to pedagogy, phonation and many other branches.
Prosthesis Types
- Fixed Denture; It is a prosthetic dental treatment that is made with neighboring teeth or implant-supported instead of missing teeth and cannot be removed without the support of a dentist.
The dentist can offer an alternative to the patient for material selection according to the position and aesthetic importance of the missing tooth.
- METAL SUPPORTED PORCELAIN
- ZIRCONIUM SUPPORTED PORCELAIN
- E- MAX
- GLASS CERAMIC
- FELDSPATIC
- LITHIUM DISILICATE
- LAMINATE (the enamel is abraded, false nails are called teeth)
- LUMINEER (no abrasion from dental tissue, treatment limit is limited)
- Movable Dentures; It is a type of removable prosthesis applied in the solution of completely or partially edentulous cases.
The upper and lower complete toothlessness is called as total prosthesis (full palate).
These prostheses are supported with implants to increase retention in patients with long-term tooth-bone or gum loss.
Partial edentulism is treated with partial prosthesis.
- Crocheted Classic Partial Prosthesis (Hooked prosthesis)
- Deflex; They are one-piece transparent retained dentures.
- Precision attachment prosthesis (snap-sliding); Partial prostheses supported with fixed prostheses are called precision attachment prostheses. In this type of prosthesis, which is supported by the patient's own teeth, the health of the teeth is of great importance for the duration of prosthesis use.
As a result of x-ray and oral examination, treatment is started with the decision of the dentist.
